I've always enjoyed language, and so I decided to become a linguist. French was the first language I was exposed to in my home (after English of course). I learned only bits and pieces of Russian, Spanish and other languages at home and decided to set my self on a course of self study. I tought my self the sounds and alphabet of Russian so that I could read signs and menus and such. Although the most I've used it was to translate a coworkers Russian Soccer Brackets in to English. I began learning Gaelic but there is very little that can be learned in the US formally. Currently I am trying my best to learn Arabic. It's a tough language, but at the same time its more simple than it seems at first.
